Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2025
1. About these terms
These terms apply to services booked through ilahub.com (“ILA Hub”, “we”, “us”). ILA Hub is operated by ILA Hub Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12193340) with registered office at International House, 142 Cromwell Road, London SW7 4EF. ILA Hub is not a law firm; independent legal advice is provided by Sarah Allen, a solicitor authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA number 453028). By booking an appointment you agree to these terms. Please read them before you book.
2. The service
We provide independent legal advice appointments by secure video call and, where the adviser is satisfied that the advice has been understood, a signed certificate of independent legal advice. The scope of the advice is limited to the document and transaction identified in your booking. We do not act for you in the underlying transaction, and nothing on this website constitutes legal advice. Appointments booked online are accepted where the loan, facility or guarantee amount is up to £2,000,000; where it is higher, please contact us before booking so we can confirm whether we are able to act.
3. Booking and payment
Appointments are booked and paid for online. Fees are fixed per person receiving advice and are shown at the point of booking. Payment is processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store your card details. Your booking is confirmed when payment completes and you receive a confirmation email.
4. Service speeds
Our Standard, Fast Track and Priority Same-Day services differ in how soon your appointment can be held, and in the level of support included, as described on the pricing page; the advice given, the certificate issued and the turnaround are the same on every service: your certificate is issued the same working day as your appointment. Turnaround times are measured in working days (Monday to Friday, excluding English bank holidays) and depend on you completing identity verification and providing the document to be advised on in good time before the appointment.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate details when booking, including the correct document and lender.
- Complete identity verification before your appointment.
- Attend the appointment on time, alone or only with other named attendees, in a private setting.
- Provide any lender certificate form you need us to complete before your appointment.
6. Certificates
A certificate is issued only where the adviser is satisfied that you understood the advice and were acting freely. If the adviser cannot certify, for example because of concerns about pressure or capacity, we will explain why. In that case our fee remains payable, as the appointment and advice have been provided.
7. Rearranging, cancellation and refunds
You may rearrange free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment by replying to your confirmation email. If you cancel more than 24 hours before your appointment starts, we will refund your fee in full, less any card processing costs we cannot recover. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, we will refund 50% of your fee, as the appointment can no longer be offered to another client and preparation has begun. No refund is due once the appointment has taken place, or if you fail to attend without notice.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability arising from a booking is limited to five times the fee paid for that booking, and we are not liable for losses caused by delays outside our control, including delays caused by lenders, solicitors or incomplete information provided to us.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, please see our complaints procedure or email info@ilahub.com. We take complaints seriously and aim to resolve them quickly.
10. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force.
