Why we exist
Why ILA Hub was built
If a lender or solicitor has asked you to take independent legal advice, it usually lands at the worst possible moment: late in a transaction, with a completion date looming and everyone waiting on you. Yet getting that advice the traditional way can mean chasing a high-street solicitor, booking weeks ahead, taking time off to sit in an office and paying an unpredictable fee.
ILA Hub was built to remove that friction. The advice is given by secure video call, usually within a day or two and often the same day, for a fixed fee you see before you book. Your signed certificate is emailed the same working day as your appointment, ready to send straight to your lender or solicitor.
Most importantly, the advice is genuinely independent. Your adviser acts for you and no one else, so you get an honest explanation of what you are signing, the risks it carries and the questions worth asking, before you commit to anything.

Sarah Allen founded ILA Hub after years working in and around property law. She is a qualified solicitor, having completed her Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School before going on to practise as an associate at the international firm Squire Patton Boggs in London.
She also owns and manages her own property portfolio, so she understands the documents ILA Hub advises on from both sides: the legal detail behind them, and the real-life experience of buying, financing and owning property. That dual perspective shapes how the advice is given, in plain English, without jargon and without rushing you.
It is why she built ILA Hub the way she did: clear, genuinely independent advice and the certificate your completion depends on, from someone who has sat on both sides of the table.
